Further Creative Development

I personally feel the idea of my piece is successfully presented through the movements I have created and the space I have covered. I hope to find places to include more facial expressions and if I had longer to work on this piece the use of performance would be a very significant part.

I want the piece to show that no matter how much someone tries to force themselves to be happy, and present themselves to the world in that fake positive manner, they will still be struggling on the inside, and so just because someone may come accross as "okay" it doesn't necessarily mean they are, and that is an important message for everyone to be aware of.

After my feedback from my teacher it has been advised that I adjust the ending from having a large jump and dramatic ending to something that is simple and therefore more effective. To do this i hope to take away the jump and just take a deep breath and then fall forwards onto the floor, hopefully complimenting the intense music supporting the movement.

I have found it has been challenging to fit this choreography into the time I've had, as I would've loved to have made more unusual and intricate positions that included more thought and time. However I've felt overall the process went smoothly and positively, obviously with being Injured I will now have to substitute any jumps in the routine, into possibly some battements and Pirouettes. This does concern me slightly as I do not want to take away from the climax in the piece however, I am still overall very delighted with how my solo has come together.
